Story

Prins Friso (pronounced Free-so), a fearless and affectionate kitten, captivates hearts with his gaze, dissolving worries and troubles. He seeks love and companionship above all else, even if it means giving up his spot in the Huis van Oranje (House of Orange). For this prince, love and adventure greater than any need to be king. And however long his life may be he loves to live to the fullest  One of 6 kittens born 22JAN2024 in foster care (2 days after his mom was rescued from the basem*nt of an abandoned home), this little one has never known a reason to fear.  He was one of the smaller of the kittens who actually gave us a scare a few times early on; but he’s grown into a sturdy young boy. He needs to be with another gentle cat, his siblings don’t listen to each other when one squeals they are playing too rough and the brats have chewed his whiskers to mess with his self esteem. Didn’t work. He is full of confidence and knows how to show it off. He knows he’s everything you’d want in a ginger. Friso is great with other cats, friendly dogs, and respectful children.  A truly purrfect kitten  As a general rule, we recommend that young kittens only go in pairs or to households that already have another pet. Young kittens on their own, no matter how much attention they get from humans, usually get bored and tend to be more destructive.  They need another animal to help socialize them (to learn how to appropriately wrestle, boundaries, etc).  Most times having another cat is the best, though some may be okay with a gentle dog.You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page:  Sophia L'Orange Kitten RescueAll of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.##1945243##

Story

“Kiki’s Delivery Service," a beloved anime movie, follows the journey of a girl finding her place in the world, aided by a beloved talking cat. Similarly, the kittens of Kiki’s Delivery Service are on a quest to find their special place in the world, and with your help, they can embark on their own magical adventures."Just like her namesake in Kiki's Delivery Service, this gorgeous calico kitty can be a little particular about who she trusts. But unlike the film's Kiki, this mama cat has already completed the last of her most important deliveries – all of the adorable Kiki’s Delivery Service kittens! Now spayed, after her hard work (we were told she had 6 litters!  prior to this last), she deserves a loving home of her own. While she might be cautious at first, Kiki’s playful affection will blossom once she knows you're here to stay. To win her over, try giving her ear scratches, which she absolutely adores! You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions Please pay particular attention to steps 1 & 2. We include on our website details on how to prepare for a home visit, how to get ready for a new kitten, some useful guidance for introductions and reminders about taking time everyone needs. If you haven't had a chance, please also check out our public facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/SophiaLOrangeKittenRescue/Not only will it show you more pictures of our kitties, but also should give you a good idea about who we are as an organization, as fosters, and how our followers and adopters feel about us.  We do take time to get through the adoption process, but want you to feel comfortable that this means we are trying to do what's best for everyone. All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted.
